As the end of 2018 approaches, our team at Broad Street Licensing Group have been looking back at our agency’s achievements this year. Our hard work in 2018 resulted in impressive placement and growth for our clients’ products on retail shelves as we expanded our agency’s global reach. Through our brand acquisition services, we grew and strengthened the portfolios of the manufacturers that we represent. And, as a humble brag, we were honored to receive multiple industry recognitions for our work. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of 2018:

Three New Properties Added to BIC Lighter Line

As we enter our 11th year of acquiring properties for BIC lighters, our agency continues to add the most popular and loved brands to their product mix. BSLG extended the BIC lighter lines into new and fun categories including country and urban music, classic movies, TV, sports and motors.

BSLG Adds Clients FarmRich and SeaPak

We continue to expand our brand acquisition client roster with the addition of two leading food manufacturers: SeaPak and FarmRich. New projects are already underway and will be announced shortly. Stay tuned!

BSLG Negotiates Japan’s First-Ever Retail Exclusive for Restaurant Brand

Our agency launched an exclusive retailer program with Walmart/Seiyu for client Tony Roma’s, an American BBQ restaurant chain. The program is Japan’s first ever retailer exclusive for a restaurant brand and can be found in all 350 Seiyu stores nationwide. In addition, the extensive line of meats and sauces are unique to this market which has nothing like them on Japanese retail shelves.
BSLG also expanded the Tony Roma’s program through retailer exclusive in the UK (LIDL), Mexico (Walmart) and Australia (Costco).

Our Hard Work Earned Us Top Industry Recognition


In June, our Tony Roma’s program was chosen as a finalist by the licensing industry for LIMA’s coveted Best Licensed Program: Food and Beverage/Restaurants. License!Global named us as one of the Top Twenty Global Licensing Agencies, an honor that they have given us for nine straight years. Our agency Account Director Peter Cross was named a LIMA Rising Star at the 2018 Licensing Expo.
